WHAT, LIKE IT’S HARD?
burnout and success are not synonymous
How often do we tell ourselves that balancing life and career is difficult? At Theory Mekkanics we refuse to believe that. We don’t agree that you have to give up on your career to find peace of mind. You can be ambitious, you can be high-achieving, you can conquer the world, and you can feel damn good about it when you go home at the end of the day. It isn’t either-or in our books.
What is Theory Mekkanics?
integrity - authenticity - responsibility
Theory (noun): an explanation of some aspect of the world. It is built on a body of facts, laws, and tested hypotheses - an explanation supported by evidence.
Theory Mekkanics is born from this concept: Take an idea - test the hypothesis - make it happen.
The Theory: Being fulfilled is not only possible, it’s expected.
The Evidence: We are.
We know the confusion of feeling lost in a life you should love.
We know the sacrifice required to show up in a workplace with professionalism even though you’re disconnected.
We know what it takes to achieve the success you were told to chase, and the grief when you still feel unfulfilled.
We understand the fear behind choosing yourself.
Because we’ve done it.
We embody what we teach, every day.
IT’S A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE
Most high-performing women don’t need more discipline or another productivity podcast.
They need space to think clearly again. Most of us only want a minute of peace so we can orient ourselves with some kind of certainty. That’s what we provide: a place to sit down, sort through your thoughts, and get some advice from a person who’s been where you are.
This isn’t cookie-cutter advice. This is real-time, real-life, practical & personalized solutions.
Theory Mekkanics was built for women who are successful on paper but quietly questioning everything behind the scenes:
The career.
The pressure.
The identity they built by being dependable, resilient, and everything to everyone.
The cost.
Because eventually, being good at surviving stops feeling fulfilling.
What if anxiety is actually lack of certainty?
What if burnout is actually a disconnect between what you want and what you’re doing?
What if feeling stuck is actually growth, trapped behind a fear of moving forward?
You’re smart, you can recognize a toxic cycle when you see one.
Theory Mekkanics exists to break that cycle & redefine the way we look at success.
who we’re for
you’re sure there has to be more to life than this, and if somebody would just point you in the right direction, you’d take it.
your career looks better than it feels
you’re tired of carrying everything alone
you’ve outgrown the version of yourself that got you here
you want clarity, not clichés
you’re good at functioning, but disconnected beneath the surface
everyone thinks you have it together, but you don’t feel that way
you’re starting to wonder if “success” was a lie
you want realistic, not floofy
You don’t know what you want, but you’re pretty sure it’s not this
You’re willing to do the work, you just need help to know what the work is
how we do it
We work the problem until we find a solution that fits you. It’s that simple.
Surface-level advice = surface-level results
You’re time is more valuable than that.
You’re smart, ambitious, high-performing.
You’ve built a career, a reputation, a life people admire.
And honestly? You’ve done a damn good job.
So, why then, does it still feel off?
Most advice talks about changing the environment - which is sometimes the right solution - but if you can’t swim, moving from the swimming pool to the ocean isn’t going to solve your problem.
“High-Vibes” and positive attitude are great to have, but it’s still a superficial solution to a deep rooted program.
At Theory Mekkanics, we work with you. We’re not following a flowchart (well, we have some flow charts) and we’re not telling you to upheave your life (unless of course, you want to). We work together to figure out what is best for you in the present and build a plan for a future that feels good to you.
We facilitate steady, informed, growth. Nobody is quantum leaping off of cliffs here.
Because you’ve worked too hard to just be surviving your life.
Meet Talisha
The proof is in the scars.
With experience in HR, strategic leadership, and human behavior Talisha specializes in understanding people. She approaches each situation with curiosity, care, and a just the right amount of tough love. Her mentorship compassionately strips away layers of noise and doubt, to clear a path for personalized professional growth.
Having grown up alongside mental illness, Talisha Ekkebus became deeply interested in resilience, identity, and the mechanics of how people adapt to survive.
After navigating her own experiences with burnout, grief, and rebuilding, she realized something uncomfortable:
A lot of successful women are functioning—not fulfilled.
Over the last fifteen years in human resources and organizational leadership, Talisha became known for her thoughtful, analytical problem-solving skills, and unique perspective. Her expertise is making sense of complicated personal and professional challenges without reducing them to clichés.
Part strategist, part storyteller, part “why are you doing this?” translator, Talisha created Theory Mekkanics because she passionately believes there is more to life than survival; women deserve to feel inspired and fulfilled without sacrificing ambition.
Because burnout should never be a measure of success.
You’re allowed to want more than “fine.”
You can be grateful for what you’ve built and still want something different.
You can be successful and still deeply disconnected.
You can outgrow the life that once made sense.
You can reconnect with a sense of purpose without quitting your job.
Changing your life doesn’t require a ‘spiritual awakening’, it just requires a little shift in perspective.
You’re not wrong, your life’s just not right for you… yet.
You do deserve to feel like your life actually belongs to you again.
You don’t have to figure it out alone.
It’s time to try something different. Let’s figure out what’s next—together.
